do Nvidia gpus work fine in AMD boards?

Just wondering do Nvidia video cards work just as good on AMD AM2/AM2+ boards as they do on Nforce chipsets or is there some kind of performance hit?

they should work just as well except that you can't run 2 in SLI.

They work just fine. You cannot do SLI or Crossfire in such a configuration.
