Do numbers follow you around?

For some reason 666 always appears around me, at least once a month it seems, maybe.

One day I will have 666 unread e-mails, or I will buy 4 things at the store and the total will be 6.66, or I will buy something with a 10, and my change will be 6.66, its different stuff all the time.

The other day I made a withdrawel from one account to buy something, and the total showed up at 666.33, next day 366.63

Makes me wonder if this happens to other people?

There's this number 7 that won't get off my back. Eats my food and masturbates in my bed. What's the jail term for killing a number?

i agree. 666 must be a number important to you or it must have been important to you in some way when you were younger so the number stuck with you and you recognize it wherever you go. as you said, you notice it once a month on average, not 10 times a day

I don't.... I think the majority of people would recognize the number when it popped up in places..

I forgot, I was playing cards and twice in an hour the flop came 6 6 6

939 and 754 have been following me around for a while. Seems that every time I look at the clock, it's an AMD K8 socket.

The number 666 has a 1 in 1000 chance of appearing in and random string of numbers 3 digits long. The odds get better when you add more digits. You would only need to look at ~30 semi-random numbers a day in order for that number to "appear around me, at least once a month." This is not an unusual occurance at all.

That saved me some calculating time 🙂
I agree with Kyteland. It's all psychology, not coincidence.
