Just an FYI for those of you out there that may have seen the release fo the new Nforce drivers on the Anandtech home page (news section). Anytime I pick nforce from the driver cleaner drop down to clean the chipset drivers, the computer will no longer boot into windows.... just keeps booting over and over. Here is a thread on the same issue I just found: Nforce Cleaning
This problem happens regardless if you install new chipset drives after cleaning the old ones! If you did use driver cleaner you will have to use your windows disc and reinstall windows. Windows will check for previous installation then will ask if you want to do a new install or repair. Choose repair and then update Windows & drivers all over again as this data is wiped out!
I have NF3-250 chipset (Gigabyte 939 mobo) and I was using driver cleaner version 3.2. I just don't want anyone else to have to go through this. Does anyone know of any issues with drivercleaner and Nforce?
Also... has anyone else had issues with the 5.10 nforce drivers? When I get to the firewall portion of the install.... the installation craps out on me? The previous version of drivers works fine? The 5.10 work fine up until the firewall portion.
