In another thread i mentioned how i was unhappy with some of the asus utilities.
I just updated to the gigabyte appcenter. I do have to write, The appcenter from gigabyte is crap. It offered updates for the realtek ethernet chip and AMD chipset. In the process it also tried to install google chrome, google toolbar for IE and norton antivirus, which op course i canceled. I desperately advice to anyone not to use the update option of the gigabyte app center to anyone already having an antivirus program. Since there is no option to choose if you want it or not. Be very cautious with this software. You can install it but be sure to set appcenter to never check for updates.

Thanks for that info, I was comparing Gigabyte mobos with others and will keep in mind their Update add-ons and to disable auto-update.

Yeah, the app center gave me issues after they updated in June. It sucks because that's where their fan profile app (SIV) I used was located.

The whole thing just kept crashing, so I uninstalled it all. I posted about this a few months ago, but nobody else came in experiencing the same issues.

Before the update, the app center and SIV app worked great for me for 7+ months.

I love the motherboard, but they need to improve their utilities (although issues with crap utilities is hardly a Gigabyte-only problem).
