I keep on reading things and from people suggesting that now is a good time to take out your money from the bank and keep it at hand.. but I think this is a very bad bad idea.... please when the banks do open tommorrow, don't rush into a mad panic!!!

I was reading the Thread Here in which 24 7 News Net Wire has the quote, "when the US Stock Markets open you will see a massive flight to cash and gold." but this did come from something called SOLLOG

Anyone else hear about people taking out money tommorrow? I heard it from some people at work today and I was upset and worried

The money market will crash if everyone takes out money from the bank!

The world market now is heading down and there's nothing they can do. Japan had to pump 2 trillion yen into the stock market to slowdown the effect.

Only the truly panic stricken will do that, I think most people are smart enough to realize that the government and the FDIC will protect their money

Well, the price of gold is already rising... and the banks were closed today (right?).. with oil prices going to rise and gas prices here in california already increased, I suspect that tommorrow morning with undoubtfully be a cash run

The stock market will plummet for sure...

In reaction to the attacks, the German stock exchange plummeted nearly 10%

The plummet was stopped by the evacuation necessary after a bomb threat... :|

Soybomb, go sleep.....:D

I don't think many would take money out of the bank. They have no reason to. The stock markets will dip but they'll recover.

This is good advice. If massive amounts of people rush to withdraw money, it could cause an even greater impact on the economy than this event will already have. I personally think it is important for us as a country to try to a do a lot of things as we have always done. If we let this attack completely change our way of life: make us forget school, stop work, not buy the things we want to buy, not enjoy our friends and familiy, be scared to leave our homes, we are effectively giving these terrorists what they want. They want to cripple us as a nation, and we cannot let that happen.

I don't have any reason to withdraw all my money... it's FDIC insured, like everyone else's.

Well, if stocks are going to go down further, then its a great time to buy. Its also a great time to invest more into a 401K plan, since you'll be able to buy more shares. The value will be way higher by retirement time. Buy low, sell high.

My money is staying in the bank.

I have about $10 in my pocket right now, and I'll probably still have about the much tomorrow evening. No intentions of pulling money out of the bank.

morons, people are going to be putting money INTO the bank, not taking it out. That's the danger. They're gonna sell stocks and stick their money into savings accounts.
