Man, horrible acting with fake accents. Horrible action. I walked out after an hour and half. I had no incentive to stay around for the ending. First movie I've ever walked out of because of it sucking.

I thought it was pretty good, not the best redition of the alamo movie but still was worth a viewing. Im from Texas so I probably would like it regardless but I liked that they took more of a backstory with the characters before the actual battle and didnt just jump the the battle like so many movies about topics like this would.

Good lord.. but the action was so fake.. they'd show a cannon firing.. then bodies flying. Not the patriot at all.

I know, I noticed that too but there were a ton of extras and I was impressed overall with the hand to hand combat.... It looked very realistic in how they stormed the alamo and the actual way they took it (trying to crawl up and then just overrunning it). I agree the cannons were weak but the battle was very impressive from a "way it probably" happened perspective. I hated the san jacinto stuff... It should have ended with the mexican soilders combing through the bodies. I hate how movies think they need to end it in an happy or rejoiceful ending. Still is much better than the 29% at rottentomatoes.

I haven't seen it yet, but apparently they trimmed it down from 3 hours to a little over 2. Some reviewers seemed to think that has something to do with how bad the movie is.

fvck The Alamo.

Why would I want to go see a movie that has nothing to do with the killing of Bill? :p

You didn;t get the joke then....

The [are still] Mexicans slowly conquer[ing] Texas;)

Texas isn't the only state they are still conquering. When the war is over it is inevitable that they will win. Learn to speak Spanish now!
