Do not Overclock. bad things happen...

Trolling or what? That's a very misleading statement. It's like saying, "Do not drive, bad things happen...".

That was what you experienced. Your statement implies that nobody can successfully overclock.
"Don't drive a car! I got in an accident and got hurt."

Just because you're unexperienced or had bad luck does not mean it's not viable for others.

OMG....what planet are you posting this from??

Seriously, if you measured a significant improvement, that would be good, but i have not seen any.

Just a warning. do not overclock. Tons of forums on how to overclock, but it doesnt work...

don't you think that's kind of broad? it doesn't "work"?. in what sense does it not work? in the sense that it doesn't offer any tangible performance benefits? well, that's a lie. take an AMD 3000+. overclock it to 2.2 ghz. what do you have? essentially an AMD 3500+. which performs better?

work in the sense that it isn't worth the stability hit? it's possible to overclock without taking a stability hit. perhaps your cooling isn't up to par.

finally, maybe you have a bad chip.

could you fill us in on where exactly you are coming from and some data that it doesn't have any performance increase?

True, if it's an overclock of 10MHz or if your main benchmark is MS Word.

OK.....Expert

If you push your system , you will burn it!!!

FUD. Not if you know what you're doing.

Just what we need, another foolish troll, who is having bad luck or doesn't know what they are doing, so that make coments that are completely false. Funny, I have overclocked every CPU I have had, and not single one of them has ever failed, and for many things there was a HUGE performance gain, so take your nonsense somewhere else.

Thats your profile. OC your system is nothing nothing but trouble.

Dont tell me about it. believe me i know.../

i don't think anyone has to guarantee anything to you... you're the one making bodacious unsubstantiated assertions. you get evidence for your argument, seeing that there's a lot of evidence floating around that goes against your argument.
