I purchased a kt7-raid mobo w/1ghz tbird and 256mb ram that they told me would work on my system...
got it home, find out that the processor is bad. one week later, at the next computer show they replace it with no problems. get it home, new problems... thinking its either the memory or the motherboard now. call them up "yah we replace mothabor fo you at next show". get there, no replacement board. WTF. I want my money back. "no, it past 7 day. we give replacement in mail" screw you.
I go to the guy who runs the shows and he sends one of his strongarms to deal with this piece of crap. I get a reciept back saying "to be refunded his money" and signature on it. a week goes by, no refund on credit card yet. call them up... "you were supposed to refund my money" "no, mothabor work fine, we test it. memory, cpu mobard, all work, we will send another." (by this time I already have another motherboard, exact same with 950 instead of 1ghz and crucial 256mb.) "no, I want my money back" "ok we chaaage you 25% restock fee..." lets see... 25% of $650 (total price paid) =$162.50, are you f@#$ing serious?? "no, im gonna call the fair people and they will deal with you."
my pops knows the guy in charge.

I have to wait till i get home to find the number of the fair though, so i cant call yet. I went to the BBB's website, and this company already has three complaints in 12 months against them.

im so ripsh1t right now.

Sorry about your lost, but good luck, call credit card company, dispute the charge.. I do it allll the time, order from www.compucheap.com, I have gotten AWSOME service.. they just received all my CPU business forever.

this is ridiculous. I just called up the fair's people and welp, "we cant do anything because they said that the motherboard works. they have a right to charge you a retocking fee."

Im going insane. I reported them on reseller ratings, and the next step is to tell my credit card company and the BBB

Why the hell would I buy something from someone, return it because it was good and working, then go buy the same thing (-50mhz) from a different vendor and have that work fine?

hehe, i wish you could too... but alas, I may just have to eat my loss. which really sucks becuase its a loss of 167 dollars.

I don't want to be rude but how can you be sure their equipment was really faulty? Do you have professional PC engineer testing equipment? Still, must say, logically should be faulty and it would be quite a scam to sell expensive gear that doesn't work and charge a restocking fee when they return it. I mean, who will pick them up on it successfully?

no, I dont have PC engineer testing equipment wiseguy. and im sure they dont either. so its speculation yes, but after trying everything i was convinced of it... plus after I purchased the same motherboard, tbird, and memory from another company, it worked when i put it together... go figure.
