Do NOT get a loan... Nevar Evar!!!

ARGH.. Ever since my parents bought a condo (partly in my name) for my brother's and my college, I have been getting a damn phone call every day about our FHA loan. This is bullsh!t. If I tell them that I want off the list, a new company will call me back.

Seriously, we just refinanced. Shouldn't they lay off for a few weeks before they start hounding us with more calls to re-refinance?

Homeownership is public record. Even if you didn't have a loan, they would still call.

It doesn't matter if it's public record. They cannot call to solicit products or services if you are on a do not call list. Only charitable / nonprofit orgs have exemption.

I was referring to brxndxn's complaint about getting a home loan and then being slammed with calls (working in mortgage origination, I think that would be the worst time to call -- usually even someone who just got taken to cleaners is unlikely to refinance again so soon).
And they can call you now because the National Do Not Call list does not take effect until later this fall. And I predict that it will take much longer to work the bugs out of it.
