I can think of a lot better reasons NOT to feed turkey (or chicken) to a dog other than "it makes its farts smell bad."

A little bit of turkey breast (white meat) isn't terrible for dogs, but dark meat, skin, and fat can lead to sickness, diarrhea, vomiting, and even death from canine pancreatitis.
(I have no doubt there will be lots of people who give anecdotal evidence of how they've fed their dogs whole turkeys for 40 years and never had a problem...but try arguing with the vet and scientists.) We almost lost a dog because of a fucking chicken strip. That was the trigger.
