yeah, you guys are putting the blame in the wrong place, it is the IRS that is holding things up and more specifically, Congress by horking up the normal cutoff of Dec 31 , they made this special law to allow Tsunami donations through Jan 31 to count for last year and that means the IRS and everyone down the food chain has to make abnormal allowances/abnormal processes

you should be blaming your Congress-person for this snafu
Heh... Skoorb gets owned. :)

I never do my taxes before April anyway.

That's pathetic. They have all year to program that software, and much of the code they could just reuse every year (if they did it right). No excuse for that.

Who cares? 2 more weeks of waiting. Whooop-tee-dooo

If the $20 refund you are geting is needed that bad, you have serious money management issues.

What the hell. I moved to this due to the spyware issue with Turbotax. And this year, for the first time since the late 90's, I was actually going to file my taxes before April 14. I was planning on doing it this weekend. So much for them gettting my money and retaining me in their customer base. When will companies ever learn??

Yes, I know... some of us don't do caritable donations and don't need the sheets you are referring to, but for those that do need them, they are a godsend.

Basicly the software is making sure you get all the cash back from overpayment of taxes that you can and is not letting you submit until you do so... and you say that is a BAD thing?

May want to rethink your method sheet on this one. If you'd rather, I'll wait for the shet to be released and claim your deductions as mine instead. I could use a few extra bucks from the Taxman.

Sheesh..

How about the software throws up a WARNING that the sheet is not finalized and let the USER decide if he/she wants to continue or not? I used TurboTax's online tool for filing my taxes and it handled my charitable contributions just fine.

Problem is that the whiners feel that it is a regressive tax. The lower incomes have more of their income taken up my items that are needed.

However, the more you try to balance it in terms of fairness, the closer you get to the monstrosity that exists today
