I have a nomad jukebox zen and although I really like the product, It recently broke. They have only a 3 month warranty which is absolutely ridiculous for a hand held device. Hand held devices are supposed to with stand a huge onslaught of abuse, and this broke with a simple 6 inch drop while it was off. I sent the product in, and they told me after about 2 weeks I'd have to pay repairs and there would be a 20$ diagnostic fee, they had no mention of how I was supposed to pay or that payment was even necessary for continuing the service of my product. They use an email support system that has a slow turn around time, I only received quick responses when I threatened to tell people of my experience and threatened that they lost a customer. I then proceeded to contact them and they told me i had to pay first so I submitted my credit card information, It has now been another 2 weeks and they still have yet to look at my mp3 player and start repairs on it after having my mp3 for over a month. This is without a doubt the worst support I have ever received and I will never be buying a creative product again, and I would just like to let everone know that they should also avoid them at all costs. There are now plenty of alternatives to the creative nomad zen (rca, rio, archos, ipod, samsung, pogo) and I highly recommend not purchasing a zen.

This product is protected by a 90 day limited hardware warranty.

Says it plain as day on their website. It's the consumer's responsibility to know what warranty is offered BEFORE they buy the product.

Even if the warranty is over and they now charge for repairs, they shouldn't have taken his credit card info and then not done any work for two weeks.

exactly, and besides my main point was not that the fact they have a crappy warranty, its the fact they can make a product that can break so easily and that it takes over a month to get my product back

My Creative Labs GeForce DDR had a 3 year warranty as an OEM card. And when the fan broke about a year ago, they sent me a new fan unit right away and it arrived within a week. I have a feeling the warranty being thinned down by so many companies is because so many people abuse their products (not pointing any fingers here).
