I cannot believe Treyarch have the audacity to release this BETA version of the game and charge you $60 for it.


My dumbass went and bought one.

My current PC run Modern Warfare 2 with everything max out @ 1680x1050 just perfect.

On Black Ops? It's not even 1 fps. I tried to low the resolution down to a pathetic 800x600 just to see what the fuck is going on and it helped....

But then you have this constant jerk/lag every 3 second

It's not a network lag, it's clearly a coding issue with the fucking game. OMFG i'm so pissed right now and definitely bring the game back to Gamestop tomorrow and try to return or demand something back for this piece of shit.


Already multiple threads on this, though we do appreciate the rant.

1- Did this need another thread? There are TWO Black Ops threads already, one specifically about this.
2- That sucks that you are having problems. A LOT of people are not.

I've been saying this for a while. The CoD series started out bad and has continued to slide. Seems they've started digging now.

Its mind boggling that people keep buying this crap. They bitch and moan, then proceed to buy the 60 dollar game plus another 60 dollars in map pack and power up DLC. Its whats keeping these retards in business and destroying PC gaming a piece at a time.

CoD started out bad? No, the first one was great! I liked the second one as well. As for the ones after that... I wouldn't know. I haven't tried them. They say this latest is on track to surpass the previous one in sales so somebody is buying it.

The sales thing is my point. The game's are getting progressively worse, and more and more people keep buying them. High sales alone are not indicative of a good game. Lemmings.

It is the Activision business model. Buy up a good developer who has put out several really good games, & then annually pump out crappier & crappier versions of the same thing every year(Guitar Hero, anyone?)
I tried the game, it ran ok in SP, but it looks absolute garbage, the gameplay is stagnant & boring, & I uninstalled it after 2 days.
Honestly, after W@W & MW2 did you really expect anything different?...Oh...dedicated servers! Oh... prone!, Oh...graphics settings for pc & mouse/kb support! Like it is all something special!

No, I don't recall the stair damage thing, but really? you're saying a game is bad based on some bugs? If they never fixed the bugs then I could see your point but they do fix the bugs so your point is moot.


I've loved every CoD game (except 3 as I never played it).
