Do newer p3's work in Abit BX6 1.0?

Guys can anyone tell me if the abit bx6 1.0 can take the newer p3's like 866 etc that run on 1.75v core or whatever it is? at the moment i've got a p2 400 running in it at 2.05v and i think i recall someone here saying ages ago that the bios figures for the voltages lower than that were not reliable or something? Any confirmation/denial etc would be great thanks

I have a BX6 1.0 with a celeron 2 (p3 core) 566 running at 877 at 1.75 volts. I'm using an Iwill slocket 2. I hope this helps you.

Seeing as I'm at work and don't have my motherboard handy can you tell me what the max speed (multiplier) is for the bx6 1.0? I now have to decide whats the best chip to put in it - 133MHz bus isn't necessarily stable on that board is it? that'd be for a p3 866 - i'm thinking of getting whatever the best/most suited 66MHz bus celeron is and running it at 100

As far as I know, the actual multiplier settings in the bios don't matter because the multiplier is fixed in the chip itself. So theoretically you could get a 1 gig P3 that has uses a 100mhz bus speed and a 10 multiplier and it should work. I believe that the 1 gig @ 100mhz is the fastest 100mhz chip that intel makes.

groovy - i thought that might be the case cause you said you had a 566 which is 8.5 and i did check it out last night when i got home and the max multiplier in the bios is 8.0

oh and i just saw an article saying the fcpga celerons are 1.5v default - so you have upped that by .25v to get yours running that fast? that sounds a hefty increase to me with my 400 .05v increase which is hardly even necessary!
