Do my Hard Drives have NCQ?

I have two Seagate Hard Drives in my Dell 8400 computer. Dell says one is a NCQ drive, but Seagate's website says it is not. Or I should say that Seagate's site says both drives as OEM drives MIGHT have NCQ. Is there any way or program that will tell me if these drives actually have NCQ?

ST380013AS and ST3160023AS

Seagates product manual says they both MAY support NCQ in there OEM version. May being the key word. They may or may not, can I tell somehow? But the retail models do not.

For the 160gig the NCQ model ends in 27AS. The 23AS does not support NCQ. I will go on a limb and say the 80gig does not either.

Agreed Hanpan! But the Seagate product manual says the OEM versions of these drives MAY support NCQ. When I purchased my PC from Dell they said the 160GB had NCQ. I was just curious if there was a way to tell. Or maybe a program that would tell.

Well, I was really just curious if these drives supported it or not. From what I've read on these forums, it really doesn't offer much for a regular home user.

Correction, it offers less than nothing.

It actually will cause a performance hit for using it.
