well they treat me as if I'm a medical school applicant (since the program guarantees admission into the medical school after 3 years of undergrad). I think they only give dorm rooms to undergrad students

What hotel chain? If it's one of the major ones (Hilton/Marriott/Sheraton/etc) sign up for their free points program. They're less likely to ask for your id if you're a member. Since it's tomorrow after you sign up for the account call their CS # and add your acct # to the reservation.

Yes. Most of them check for ID if they believe that you're underage. However, if they hassel you, just tell them that you're from out of town. Explain what you're there for and if they still won't rent it to you, ask to speak with a manager. Just explain that you just need a place to sleep and that you understand the law is to protect the hotel's interests, blah blah blah.

I had no problem when I rented a room at 18 after speaking with them.

No ID asked for at all. Just said hi to the lady, handed her the credit card, signed the paper, and got the room key :thumbsup:
