Do most GTS cards handle a high AGP speed well?

I am considering upgrading my BX MB with a P3 and overclock it by raising my FSB to 133mhz. However, the BX boards only support a 1/1 or 2/3 AGP divider and if I am running at a 133 FSB speed, then my Leadtek GTS 32mb card will be on a 89mhz AGP bus speed.

I have heard many say that the GTS cards handle this 89mhz bus speed fine. I even set my FSB to 89 and my AGP divider at 1/1 so my AGP bus is running at 89mhz, and the system worked fine and I did some benchmarking (3DMark, some games) with no crashes whatsoever.

What are your experiences with your GTS and high AGP speeds, particularly 89mhz? I have heard from several that the Leadtek cards will run fine at this speed, I just want to be confident before I go off and purchase the new processor.

Should be fine. My fsb runs fine at 154MHz. I am not sure what the divisor is for my AGP bus though.

Should be fine. There was an anandtech article maybe 6 months ago with tests on all the cards and high AGP speeds like 89mhz. You can search for it if you want but the GTS could handle it.

I am sure it will work if you already tried it at 89 Mhz...you can even be more adventurous and try like 95? =) Better not do it just cause I said so though, I accidentally did that with my Radeon, I think it was at 100, worked though. =)

I found the AT article that Eagle_2 mentioned. My exact card, the Leadtek WinFast GTS 32mb, was included in the testing and it passed with flying colors.

Conlan:

Thanks for that link. It also showed that my Leadtek GTS SHOULD have no problem running at the 89mhz (or higher) AGP speed.
