Do most girls start their IM conversations with something other than "hi"?

I just noticed, when I IM guys it's usually, "hi, hey, what's up, hello" or an emoticon. When I IM girls, it's whatever random stuff comes to mind. Most girls who IM me don't start with a greeting either. Is this typical?

All girls that IM me (and this is rare) always start off with Hi, What's up or a derivative thereof... like you said.

I tend to greet most girls (they seem to to me as well). Seems more polite. Guys, depends. Sometimes I just go to whatever it is I want to say.

It depends who I'm talking to.

If it's a friend, I'll say Hi.

If it's someone who I just need to ask a question I'll just skip the greeting and ask them the question.

Almost always when a chick IMs me it's a greeting first, then whatever they wanted to talk about, if anything. Doesn't happen often, I chase chicks out of my life, they cause too many problems. Dang crazy womenz.

Yeah, when I talk to most girls I start with Hi or Hey. The ones I'm closer to I just start with whatever I'm thinking. Guys, on the other hand, I usually call them something obscene and we get on with out conversation.
