I have and older Mits Projection TV that only has a DVI-I input for 1080i.
I was told that Blu Ray players have a menu option to set the output at 1080i. So this means I would be able to watch Blu Ray on my set. Is this true?
Most players should support 1080i output, so you can watch them with no problems. DVI-I will support converting from HDMI so you should have no problems.
I have to convert from an HDMI connector from a blu ray player to my TV's DVI-I connection. I have a Mitsubishi rear projection tv WD 65713. My question is will this DVI-I connection carry sound as well as video or will I need to run separate cables for the sound? The connection on my TV is listed as Monolink and the onscreen menu shows I must set up a video connection but there is no setup for audio which leads me to believe it's separate.
