When I'm hanging out with my girlfriend it seems like if we walk past a group of mexican guys, whether its in the supermarket or anywhere, they just blatantly stare at her. It's not even subtle at all, they'll swivel their heads and follow. Is it just me being being paranoid? Sorry if this sounds racist, but ive really only noticed this w/ mexican males.

I know exactly what you mean, and they absolutely do. They do so invasively, persistently, and overtly.

Probably. I have a client that employes ~4,000 Mexicans (don't ask), and they have problems with many of them following the women home. If you had even a slightly attractive woman walking around out there all work halts. It's pretty incredible. They mean no harm, but it's disconcerting for many women.

Yes, to us it seems that way, but these are immigrant workers without the same perceptions of propriety. They see it as playing the role of a suitor, and the women pursued considers it harassment.

I've noticed that Mexicans stare at my fiancee moreso than other cultures.

No cruel jokes please.

YES! My GF has commented to me about that on numerous occasions:

- The Mexican workers on campus stare at them ALL the time with NO SHAME
- The construction workers working in her neighborhood stare and hoot and hollar when ladies come driving by

my fiancee has told me on 2 separate occasions that she was solicited for sex by spanish-looking dudes. The last time was while we were in a pool area in Cozumel and she had swam to the other side while I was relaxing. WTF ?!

Then I asked how much he offered. ;)

Anyway, I thought Indian dudes were the most horny???

This machismo thing is laughable...but can lead to problems in the workplace. Political correctness aside- sexual harassment is no laughing matter.

While we're on the subject of Mexican stereotypes.... what is with their hair? In my area, Mexican usually have a couple different hairstyles:

Long, mullet-like hair but the sides are totally shaved.

Front end of their hair is maybe 1-2" long, like bangs, but then their head is shaved.

Hair split down the middle, with a bowl cut. Popular when I was about 10 years old. Always popular with the mexicans.

I can certainly see that happening. My fiancee and I went to cancun last week and I can't count the number of times she was oogled by all the men there.

i meant cultural as in the fact maybe in hispanic communities it is okay to stare or look at an attractive woman.

in the US, ppl look but do not want to be caught looking.
