Do the 5500's come with any audio cable connectors out of the box or do i have to buy a digital optical cable? Do they come with any other cables to connect the speakers to a sound card or audio device?

afaik they come with the three 3.5mm stereo cables you'd need to connect to a computer.

Digital optical and digital coaxial would not be included.

If you want to do digital coaxial, keep in mind that it's just a standard 75ohm cable with RCA ends. A composite video cable (yellow with RCA ends) should work just as well as a "digital coaxial" cable.

Also keep in mind that if this is strictly for connecting to a computer, hooking up with analog tends to usually be the better connection method than digital.

Does not come with a optical cable. I have the speakers in question and had to purchase an optical cable separate.

I bought an optical cable, and for a coax cable I'm using the RCA cable that came with a video card.
