Do large threads get deleted from the archives?

How old were these threads? I know that archived threads underwent the big delete not long ago.

Zuni cleans out the archives every so often.
 
Well Zuni does clear the archives regularly and a cleaning went on not too long ago.
I've noticed that very large threads seem to 'disappear' quicker then others also...
 
Wasn't very old at all. Couple months maybe...and Rand, one of them was our 2000+ post Leafs thread! It's lost forever 🙁
 
Our "official Leafs thread" ended at just over 2650 posts last I saw it... it'll be back next year though!

I'm pretty sure that one has long since been deleted. I spent some time searching for it quite awhile ago and I couldnt find a trace of it anywhere.
 
There are several large unarchived threads that are missing, and don't seem to have been moved to the recycle bin forum. :|
