Do kids go trick or treating in your neighborhood?

Does your neighborhood set anything up?

My neighborhood has a constable who helps organize a safe trick or treating environment for the kids. Our local youth center also hosts a trick or treat event for the kids.

We might get 1 or 2 a year. The houses here are very far apart, so they usually have their mom drive from house to house.

hell ya! our neighborhood association trick or treating is simply amazing. It's like those trick-or-treats you see in movies and on TV and think "yeah right" Kids everywhere, every house decorated to the nines. They have designated haunted blocks with association provide props (good stuff). "Witches Brew" tents for the adutls, apple cider for the kids. 100s and 100s odf kids. Its AWESOME

That sounds awesome! Ours isn't THAT organized... mostly just safe. Yours sounds like the kids have a blast.

ha?

Kids go trick or treating, but nothing is set up where I currently live

The last place I lived had a time, between 5pm and 7pm, in order to 'keep kids safe'. No trick or treating was allowed after 7pm. Any house giving out candy after 7pm could be fined (acording to the sub-division charter)

Just moved into a new apartment a few months ago, so I don't really know, but I sure hope not. I live in a college town, but I live more on the towny side than the student side, so who knows. There are lots of people who have put up decorations here. I know the people that live below me have kids.

yeah it really is a total blast. Done perfectly. The only "downside" is that its done on select blocks (rotated yearly) so that its concentrated in one area and every few blocks of our neighborhood gets to be the "host" blocks every once in a while. Last year our area was the designated blocks. What sucked was deciding to go out with the kids or stay home to give out candy, so we recruited Grandma to sit on the porch and dole out the goods while we enjoyed everything.

Take some pics and show them to us after everyone goes home please.

As for me I just moved to this Airforce base so I have no idea what goes on.

will do. Lotsa MILFs too so I'll try to aim my camera right 😛 I think we went through like 30 bags of candy last year (the association provides 2 per house... you have to donate 2 bags per kid you send out trick or treating too, each signed-up kid gets a littel glow in the dark pin to show they aren't a cheap-free-loader.

Note: this is aside from the normal city's trick or treat day which usually sucks. Since I live a pretty affluant area, jsut a short bus ride up from some crappier parts of town, lots of kids ride the bus up to our neigborhood on that Sunday. Sadly 90% of the time the kids are like 14yrs old and have a baseball hat on as their "costume".... *sigh*

...sans the association part🙂

rest assured we are not part of some subdivison "association" with charters and crap. this is an old neighborhood. The association is for nothing but fun... ice-cream socials, outdoor movie night, baseball games, and of course the trick-or-treating.

/me loves his neighborhood.

I have no idea since I'm new to the neighborhood but I am concerned about mischief night since I caught a kid red handed on my second story deck trying to steal my glass ashtray. I embarrassed him in front of his whole crew, so I'm SURE that I'll be having trouble that night...

We never had trick or treaters in our apartment.

This is ouir first Halloween in our house so we'll see. I actually hope that we do get a few at at least.

The street use to be flooded with punks, I mean kids, including me. Most of the street still hands stuff out, but not many people come anymore. I think there were like ten total for the past few years. Might stop altogether soon; kids have grown up, only thing even close are drunks next door and drunks across the street that sit in the front yard being retards until 3am...

Nothing setup, but depending on the weather we can have anywhere from 20 to over 100.

Actually now that I think of it the roving bands of vandals are pretty organized.

I don't know. I have purposely come home really late to avoid trick or treaters. I kind of wish this holiday would go away... In the past, it's hard to tell how many kids will come which forces you to buy lots of candy. Sometimes tons of kids drop by and you end up spending lots of money for candy. Other times there are hardly any kids and you end up spending a lot of money on candy and you get fat by having to eat them all. Again, I wish this stupid holiday would just go away.
