Do Jon Bon Jovi and Ritchie Sambora deserve to be in the pantheon of great singer/lead guitar duos?

Do they stack up to a Mick and Kieth, Daltrey and Townshend, Page and Plant or Tyler and Perry (the last duo is borderline given their recent musical sins)? I say no.

If they weren't around at a time when all you had to do to cash in was throw on some spandex pants and use an entire bottle of hairspray to make your hair stand on end, I doubt they would have even been noticed.

So no.

Since they pretty much started all of that I would say they would have been noticed if you are talking about the hair band bandwagon.

Bon Jovi: hair band pioneers. yeah, sounds about right. don't get me wrong, i liked their music when it was popular. i guess it was a fun time for being a teen. i just don't put them up there with Page & Plant - no way no how.
