I had to remove the back faceplate on my case so my motherboard would go in there... Well, I haven't the damndest clue how to make the matching one go in there and stay except for maybe glueing or taping it... which would be kind of bleh...

so my question is, do i really need it? Would it actually help with ventillation not having it there?

Thanks in advance!

Isn't there something about RF interference? However, I doubt its a problem.

The new one should just snap in from the back, but you'll be fine without it. Just don't try to plug a thumb drive into the empty space above a USB port.

Just cosmetics. A little extra dust might settle in some areas, but so long as the air circulation in the case is balanced and you have a routine of blowing out the dust in your PC every now and then, it shouldn't matter. My OEM MSI K8N Neo4 didn't come with one. Really annoying.

I once did a Red Green on one and covered the open space with duct tape to prevent kids from poking something in there. Worked fine. Looked like a Red Green job.
