I currently have 3 machines running at home. All of the systems are running Debian. One is a laptop, one is my main system, and the other is just acting as a firewall.

Ok...so why not just throw ipchains (for protection) on the laptop and the main rig, thus allowing me to get rid of the firewall system all together.

BTW..the firewall is a dual P3 550 with 1 Gig ram. I could throw a Hauppauge PVR250(or 350) in there and finally get MythTV running.

Any thoughts on life without a sepereate firewall box?
