Do I potentialy have serious car problems?

2001 Honda Civic EX, auto

The past couple months my cruise control has randomly acted crazy. My rpms will fluctuate like crazy and usually I turn my cruise control button on and off and it starts working like normal. Today I was going down the highway with cruise on and my car steadily starts slowing down. i turn the cruise off and I can't go over 60 mph. I slow down to about 20 and then no more issues. I have since drove about another 100 miles, mainly highway with no issues. Any suggestions?

Not a car expert at all, but my sister had a Ford do something similar...they replaced just about everything (it was under warrenty) from the main computer to the LED mood lighting.

Come to find out it was a throttle body issue. I dont know what that means, or what it costs...but it was a weird problem and it took a few dealerships to figure it out. Might be worth looking into.
