Sorry... I am a newbie when it comes to computers.

I bought a computer with Vista Home OS. The system came with all this bloat ware and unnessary software. I just want to reformat the the computer and have it cleaned out.

My question is can I use the Vista upgrade CD or do I need the full version? Or does it even matter?

Your computer almost certainly came with an OEM version of Vista. It may even use a special version of Vista that's locked to that manufacturer's PCs.

Have you called the PC manufacturer to see if they can provide you an unadulterated version (a bare Install DVD, with no added software). of Vista? Even if you have to pay something, it'd be the easiest solution over the long run.
