Do I need to use the Asus EZ Plug if I'm using a 24-pin ATX power connector?

I don't think I need to use the 12V 4-pin EZ_PLUG if I'm using a 24-pin connctor but I'm not sure. Can someone confirm this?

I don't know anything about the EZ Plug, but if it's the 4-pin connector to give extra power to the CPU, I would recommend using it.

Since you are using the 24-pin connector, this isn't a question about the 4 extra pins you would see on the mobo if you were using a 20-pin connector from the PSU. To be clear, you don't need THOSE 4 pins (unless you are using PCI-E and your card doesn't have it's own power connector).

This might be a good reference.

The ASUS A8N-SLI Premium has 3 different power plugs

1 x 24 pin -- Need (but the 20 pin works)
1 x 4 (square) pin CPU 12V ATX -- Need
1 x 4 pin EZ Plug (which most people call a Molex) -- Recommended if running 2 video cards, other wise optional

Taken from 6-5 of the manual...

"If using a 20-pin ATX power connector, connect a 4-pin ATX power cable to the EZ Plug labeled EZ_PLUG on your motherboard"
