Do I need to update my Voodoo3 2000 drivers?

I have the Voodoo 3 2000 card. It came in my computer from Quantex in Sept of 99. I have never made any changes to it since then. Now that they appear to be closing shop should I update the drivers? Everything is working fine right now and don't really know what the point of "updating drivers" is? I basically use the machine for surfing around not gaming. Any suggestions or comments would be much appreciated.

Well, you don't HAVE to if everything runs smooth. I just updated my driver and noticed a nice perfomance boost. Everything runs a little smoother. But if you're not a gamer, don't worry about it.

There's no real point if you're not a gamer. Unless you are having some sort of troubles with your video it doesnt look like you'll have to upgrade it, but I would download the new drivers just in case you wish to move the card to a new sys or something.

I would download them just so you have them...

Besides, if you did find you needed the drivers(after 3DFX disappears) there are plenty of people here who could email you a copy...

Thanks for all the replies! I think I will download them and just tuck them away just in case I need them at some point. I am leery of changing them out when everything is running so well now. Again thanks for everybody's help!
