Trying to install 10.7a catalyst drivers. Currently have 10.7. Do I need to first uninstall 10.7?

Or is 10.7a like an addition to 10.7?

Generally with ati it is uninstall before install. Can save strange conflicts.

Yeah, normally I uninstall previous drivers, run driversweeper, then install new ones.

I just wasn't sure if 10.7a required 10.7 to work correctly. But I guess 10.7a is a stand alone driver package right?

I've never actually had a problem just installing new over top of old but if there's any concern you ought to just uninstall as it only takes a minute extra.

Yeah, i hear ya.

That wasn't really my question though.

I was just wondering if 10.7a REQUIRED 10.7 to function correctly, -- OR -- if I only need to install 10.7a.

In other words, do I need 10.7 to run 10.7a? Or can I just go straight to 10.7a exe file and install that.

Oh in that case, it's the full install not an add-on.
