Do i need to reinstall win 10 when upgrading hdd from sata to NVMe ? (Solved)

i have the supermicro x10srl-f running win 10 pro Installed on a samsung evo 256gb sata ssd and legacy bios. I want to upgrade the storage to intel nvme ssd amd i am wondering if i can image the existing OS to the new ssd without resinstall?

I didn't have to when I cloned mine from an 850 EVO to a 960 EVO. Windows 10 worked its magic, but my options were already set to UEFI, so that would be my only concern

Since you're using legacy BIOS install, I'd reinstall anyway to use UEFI mode. Just to avoid any potential issues.

Thanks all for the responses. I followed this guide and converted from legacy to UEFI, and used TODO Easus backup to clone the disk and voila, I am rocking on an Intel NVME
