Do I need to re-install Vista after switching motherboards?

So I'm putting together a new system tonight, and I'm wondering if there's any way to avoid having to re-install Vista. My old system was AMD (Asus A8N32 + Opteron 165), my new system is the DFI Lanparty UT P35-T2R + C2Q 6600.

I'm pretty sure I'll need to reinstall, but could I get around it by just uninstalling all the motherboard drivers, switch the hardware, and let Vista find the new hardware? Or am I just going to be spending all night rebooting?

Thanks in advance. I'm pretty stoked about this new system (especially since I got the DFI mobo for $170! What a deal, 🙂 )
