Do I need to insulate the connectors of a monitor extension cable?

Well... I think they are. The extension is a Belkin gold plated and the original is one that came with my Sansumg 950p.

Is that good enough? (not being sarcastic)

But lets say in case I find interference. Should I wrap it with alluminum foil or something similar?

Thanks for the quick reply powerMarkymark,

I have two out of my three monitors on six foot extensions. At first I tried to save a few bucks and the reult was ghosting on the monitor with the cheap extention.

By good quality I mean the extensions with the little canister things (forget what they are calle) at either end, this is what prevents interference.

Your gold plated sounds high end, check for the plastic vcoated canisters on each end and you should be fine.

Well... I was very disapointed when I saw that there were no filters in my new extension cable.

But the fears went away when I pluged them in and saw no ghosts.

Just to let you know.
