do i need to install x2 driver?

i know theres a Sp2 dual core hotfix. But theres also a amd x2 driver. Anyone herd of this before? anyone have any problems with it? does everyone need to install it?

I install the AMD X2 driver. Have not bothered with the SP2 driver.
