I always install it. Don't notice much of a difference, but I figure its not going to hurt. There is an update for the 32 bit Athlon XP's, and I don't notice a difference with it either.

I would install it. Some of them are for processor ACPI support (AMD PowerNow!, etc.), and perhaps the most recent one is for the microcode fix for the bug in the MOVS opcode in the A64s.
