Do I need SLI to run PhysX?

I'm looking at new video cards that support PhysX because I want to play Batman City in all it's glory but I came across a question. Do I need to run SLI to activate PhysX?

Thanks. I was just a but confused when i ran across a thread that showed me how to run Physx with an ATI card.

PhysX can only be ran on an Nvidia card, but it's possible (unofficially) to use an Nvidia card to handle PhysX only while the AMD/ATi card handles all the graphics only.

As for Nvidia only set ups you can have a single Nvidia card do both graphics and PhysX or have separate cards.
