Do I need Cooler Master 212+

No, it is not needed. Why would it be? Didn't the CPU come with a small cooler? Just install it properly and enable a fan profile in BIOS.

I didnt get the CPU yet. Let me ask too, I saw that the 3470 isnt fully locked and I saw people with 3470's at 4GHZ and 3.8GHZ. Do you think I could overclock with the stock cooler to 3.5 - 3.6GHZ?

If you don't O/C, use the stock cooler. If you do O/C keep the 212. Don't mess with what's adequate in between those two, just do it or don't. How much is a used 212 really going to get you anyhow?

In my opinion of course.

Wouldn't it rune quieter than the stock cooler?

The Cooler Master uses a 2000RPM fan. I think the stock Intel coolers run at similar speeds. Both will be noisy at those speeds, but IMO the Intel cooler will be slightly quieter due to it moving less air.

The hot ticket is to enable a fan profile in BIOS, so that the motherboard can adjust fan speeds as necessary. Then, BOTH coolers can be reasonably quiet.

My thoughts exactly. You can buy a new 212+ for less than $30 everyday, $20 or less on sale.... and you already have it. It wouldn't be any worse than the Intel cooler... most likely better, and you will have it if you do decide to OC.

I already have a 212+ as mentioned in my opening post. I was wondering if to sell it, as based on where I live, its extremely expensive to ship and the money from the sale, would greatly help in paying for shipments.
