Do I need an LTE filter on an antenna?

I've been picking up OTA TV by plugging a coax cable into my TV and dangling the other end in the air but it's very finicky so I'm looking to pick up one of those flat antennas you stick behind the TV or on the wall (a window is unfortunately too far away). I came across an antenna with an LTE filter and was wondering if anyone knows if it helps to reduce distortion to the point of being worth the extra cost.

The antennas all look pretty similar so please also recommend one. The channels in my area are broadcast between 2.4 and 11 miles away and all within a 39 degree cone.

LTE Filter: Maybe if you are REALLY close to a cell tower (aka- a three year old child can hit it with a rock from where your TV is).

Commercial antenna: https://www.amazon.com/Channel-Mast...=UTF8&qid=1475271364&sr=1-1&keywords=cm3000hd

DIY on the cheap (YMMV): http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-make-a-fractal-antenna-for-HDTV-DTV-plus-/

Otherwise just make sure your choice of antenna covers the channels you need (VHF high & low / UHF high & low)
Line of sight should be your largest issue that close.

The closest cell tower is about 1/3 of a mile away. There are about 86 towers within 3 miles of my place.

It looks like I only need UHF. There is one Hi-V but it would just be another PBS station.

Is this channel master any better than a mohu or amazon basics equivalent?

Thanks.

CM is a well established brand, and the antenna I linked is a good general performer with multidirectional performance. You may get acceptable results with a mohu or amazon basics, but I prefer to err on the side of caution when making a recommendation...
