Will I see a difference?

My friend just told me that I am using a standard cable right now and I should upgrade... eh..

all you should need is Component cables. HDMI will not work with digital cable boxes.

I dont know squat about these things. He just told me I have a standard cable and I should go to best buy and buy the upgraded cable.

He prob meant you currently have your digital cable box connected to your tv via the normal coax cable, and in order to view the HD channels you will need to connect the cable box to your tv via Component cables.

He probably is using coax. In that case, then YES! upgrade your cable. I have seen so many setups with digital boxes and nice TVs and they are connected via coax :(

I have HDTV, but sometimes the HDTV lags and it gets chopped off. This happens myabe 3-5% of the time.

Im going to go check my box and see what it says and post back,
