Link to speakers, I dont want to add anything I dont have to add. Just want some decent sound.

I dont know what kind of player, just that it is made by Legacy & is 160W. I havent put in the speakers yet but want to make sure that they wont blow up or something when I put them in. I dont want to buy an amp if I dont have to, I will be selling the car soon & getting another, but want to replace the blown speakers before I do.

fyi, with just about any modern head unit and simple speakers, you won't need an amp. Now if you got into component speakers with seperate tweeters, then i'll suggest an amp, but for your application, it'll work direct from the head to the speakers.

anyway you look at it, your not gonna push 350w of power through those speakers without an amp. Your headunit is 160w total which means 2X80 or 4x40

probably 4x40, and i doubt you'll ever see the 40 out of each channel as it is.

nobody "NEEDS" a car amp, it's just nice to have, especially when you have a good head unit pumping out clean signals.
