Do I need an adapter to plug a laptop hdd into a regular size HDD cable?

I am doin a new mod for an xbox and need to use a laptop hdd for it. But I was wondering will I need to get a cable to make it work with regular IDE?

Yes. I don't have a link handy, but Newegg may have them.

Edit: Newegg has several. Some other adapters mixed in there too, but the first item and those like it should do the trick.

I would check a local electronics supply place - mine was $6.95 at SWS Electronics. Radio Shack might have them as well. Why wait days for something that piddly?

Now the type of adapter linked above will work on the PATA (parallel IDE) drives but the new SATA notebook drives probably need something different.
