Do I need an adapter for this powersupply to this board?

You should not need anything extra to connect this PS to this motherboard. The PS says it is P4 compatible which means it will have the 12 pin + a 4 pin connector.

Ah, k, excellent. I saw this on the motherboard website ( - ATX 24-Pin power connector). I thought that this PS was 20-pin and that would cause problems. (I'm pretty new to this whole computer building thing 😛 )

Big thanks from this newb

So I'm going over the manual online to see what I will be having to do and I found this answer there as well 😛

You may use the 20-pin ATX power supply as you like. If
you?d like to use the 20-pin ATX power supply, please plug your
power supply along with pin 1 & pin 13 (refer to the image at the
right hand). There is also a foolproof design on pin 11, 12, 23 & 24
to avoid wrong installation.

Question now though: Whats the point of a 24 pin powersupply? 😕
