Here's the deal. I have a Linksys BESFR41 V2.0 that I have been running my network on without a problem. I bought a D-Link DWL-900AP+ to go wireless. I hooked the WAP to a LAN port on the router but I cann't seem to access the WAP. I tried to go through IE and pinging through the command prompt, neither worked. I can access the router pefectly through IE and pinging.

The port on the router shows the port is in use and the Lan light on the WAP is on. If I unplug the cable the lights go off. I switched cables to a known good one.

I don't know what else to do except put a wireless card in. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance ;)

The D-Link uses a different IP band.

You have to connect it to a computer (crossover cable) and change the IP to the same band as the Linksys.

I tried the crossover cable and I still can't access the WAP. Do I need a D-Link NIC too? I have a Linksys.
