Do I need a new power supply?

I'm posting this for a friend of mine, I thought I would ask the experts before I gave any advice about if his 250w power supply would be enough for his new system. He plans on having:

700 duron
128pc133 ram
tv tuner card
ati rage fury pro 32mb
2cd roms
a internal zip drive
two hard drives (one running at ultra 66)
a network card
sound blaster live

I reccomended at least a new 300w power supply, I'm just wondering if his existing 250w will work. Thanks for the help

That is alot of device. It might work on a high quality PS. Why don't you give it a try and see what happens. Here's my system so you can compare and make judgement

Duron600@900MHZ doing find at 950MHZ too
2 Quantum HD
1 NIC

Burner and CDROM

If he have a good 250w then it might work...You don't lose anything trying it out to see if it work befor putingout $$$ for a 300w.

But, it look like that he will need to upgrade to a 300w supply because he have loads of devices asking for power.

i agree, try it, and then i'd go for a 350w just incase he decides to get anything extra
