Do I need a new power supply?

I'm putting together a file server with some hard drives and a few spare parts I have laying around. The specs will be as follows:

Antec SX1040 full tower case with 300W power supply
Asus A7N8X-VM motherboard with onboard video/sound/LAN
Athlon XP 2400+ 2.0 GHz
512 MB RAM
2x80GB Western Digital WD800BB
4x200GB Seagate Barracuda ST3200822A
Intel EtherExpress Pro 100 NIC
2xPromise Ultra100 TX2 IDE controller
3 case fans

Will the 300W power supply be enough? And will the fans be enough to cool the 6 drives? I'll be using rounded IDE cables, which should help with airflow a bit, but there won't be any fans blowing directly on the drives.

If that's not enough, is this? It's essentially the same as the case I'm using, except it has the extra space for a HDD fan and the extra 100W.

Not even close to pushing 300W. He doesn't even have a videocard. Just onboard.

If he can afford the 400W model, however, I agree he should get it for future proofing purposes.

I agree sonic. Not even close though is a bit strong.. more like he is a safe distance. I would still go with a better PSU for futureproofness and sometimes stability.
