Do I need a new monitor?

I've got the Acer X34 which is a ultra wide IPS 34' 3440x1440 monitor but I've got this very distracting screen tearing in games and I can't think of any culprit other than my monitor but isn't G-SYNC supposed to eliminate screen tearing? What's going on?

It shouldn't happen.. are you 100% sure gsync is enabled ? Check in the monitor osd settings if it's on.

Also G-sync only works on the display port, not in the HDMI one.

HDMI doesn't have enough bandwidth for 3440x1440 100Hz. Display mode in OSD says NVIDIA G-SYNC so it's enabled. Can it be game specific? I checked it only in the wither 3.

Same display here....

Did you make sure to globally disable vsync in NV control center? vsync will override the functionally otherwise...

Also, as others have said, also make sure Gsync is also enabled in the control center. There are a few pitfalls in getting everything to work, but it's worth it.
