Do I need a new hard drive?

I recently built a computer, socket 754 mobo amd 3400+, 1gig ram, 6600gt, didn't have enough money for a new hard drive. The hard drive I have is about 5 years old 5400rpms i think and 40gb. Would a new hard drive help improve performance in games? Is a bigger hard drive better to buy than a smaller one? I only use about 20gb of space, so I don't see why a bigger one would be better.

Your load times would significantly drop, but you wouldn't get more frames per second.

But he will when those games + Microsoft + Everyware start using all that memory...

Don't worry, you can upgrade later when you need.
