I am migrating from a old pentium mmx233 machine. I got duron600 and abitKT7. But I wonder if I plug the old video trident 9865 on the new abit will boot up the Duron cpu. Does't that affect the result of overlocking?
If so, what minimum video card I should get for this new chip?

I appreciate any thoughts on this!

No, you don't need a good video card to boot up, or even to load windows. As
long as it is at least a pci video card capable of VGA output, it should work.
Now as far as a minimum card, it depends on what kind of performance you're
looking for.
If you want the latest and greatest without the high price, it would be hard to beat
the GeForce 2 MX as far as performance/value goes.(just think of it as the Duron of
the GeForce line
)

I'm currently using an old V770 TNT2 with my Duron system, and it seems to
be doing reasonably good job
, but I think I'm going to get a MX here before too
long. :)

You don't need a good video card at all. The system will boot and run perfectly fine with the old Trident 9865.

Thanks. So, I'll hold for a good deal on the video card after I boot up my duron for 900.
