Do I need a geforce 3!?

i have a:

Slot-A Athlon 700
256megs of PC133 CAS2 ram
Geforce 2 GTS 32mb DDR
Creative 12x dvd
Philips Acoustic Edge
Cable internet!

I play a lot of Half Life based games like CS and TFC...i also plan to play future games, i also want to play tribes 2 at a decent framerate...its unbearable at 1024*768...

should i invest ~300 to a geforce 3? or wait for the next geforce...or a geforce 3 128meg if it ever comes out!

if yo have 300$ to spend, you could also look into getting another cpu/mobo combo.. jus a thought ..

GF2 is fine...consider a faster Processor to feed it... 😀

Upgrade your motherboard and processor and stick with the GF2 for now. Better bang for the buck.

Why buy one now when maybe 1% of games actually make use of the GF3's features? Wait 'til that's around 50% I say and that GF3 might very well be affordable to boot.

i recommend an athlon and a ddr board (i say 1.33ghz and epox 8k7a)
